Anyone know this checkers/draughts variant?

I learned it from a friend - don't know where it comes from, and it's not mentioned in wikipedia. He claims it is called "monsters". Similar to normal draughts or checkers, but when a piece is captured, instead of being removed from the board, it stays underneath the capturing piece. If you jump over a stack of two or more pieces, you just skim off the top one, which sometimes brings a different coloured piece to the top of the stack. The player whose piece is on the top controls the whole stack. As the game progresses, you get fewer and fewer stacks but they get taller and taller. Game ends when one player has no pieces left (i.e. they are all underneath opponent's pieces). Ever heard of this? I should add, it's a brilliant game - way better than standard draughts!

My Viza Viper gas scooter stops when riding! Help!?

I have a 33cc viza viper gas scooter. I recently got a new gas tank. The Company does not make them anymore so I had to get a different one and had to get my uncle who works at a repair shop to put a wedge or something since it didint fit. When I got the new tank on. It worked GREAT. They put a new racing sprocket in, tuned it up and sprayed something on the chain. I rode my scooter alot after the repair. I probably wasted like 10 miles on gas. Well anyway i started noticing the scooter jerking as if it where stopping, it would still accelerate but at certain times it would make those dying noises.Any scooter owners know when they are out a gas there scooter like jerks and starts slowly dying. well MY scooter started to go that. But its different because my tank was half full. Well it got worse later on, and from this day Every time I start It it dies in 15 seconds or less. I personally think its the fuel lines since they are alot longer and cant reach the carburator. But even if I press the little pump thingy I do it like 20 times so enough gas gets in but its not working I have herd people saying its a air leak but I dont think it is. sorry for the long story. I just want my problem Fixed! HELP!!!! P.S. people PLEASE dont say my scooter is garbage china crap. I just want my scooter fixed okay?

Is my copy of windows 7 home premium legal?

I use to have windows 7 starter when I saw this video on youtube on how to upgrade to premium for free. All you have to to do is copy and paste the license key into the anytime upgrade box and it should work. I did this and to my surprise it did work. I didn't use any hack tools or anything of that sort. I even used the microsoft genuine checker tool and it says i'm running a genuine copy of windows 7. However my conscious tells me i did something wrong. Was this legal or illegal, if so how can I reverse my copy of windows down to the original.

Ok, 8 years ago i rescued my dog from a local no kill rescue. She is very sweet and i also rescued another little girl who decided to escape and this rescue group found her so i had to go to the place where this woman keep all the dogs. My Little puppy at the time when i got there was stuck in a tiny chicken wire fence with like 7 other dogs and she was matted in poop and the lady told me im lucky shes not keeping my dog, well all the dogs are in nasty poop filled chicken wire "kennels" and they are chained up in these "kennels" and before i saw the deplorable conditions they were in i recommended her to people but she has gotten to the point where she wont let anyone adopt these dogs, I know she has the right to turn people down but its ridiculous and i don know what to do, these animals are suffering, and the local human society wont do anything. Any advice?

Is it absolutely nescessary to set timing if the main crank has not been moved?

I have a 1987 Nissan pickup with a 2.4 liter z24i engine. I am putting on a new cylinder head because the old one was warped. Prior to dissasembly I marked the timing chain and the cam sprocket so that I could preserve my correct timing, and immobalized the chain by jamming a wooden wedge so that the chain was locked against the tensioners. ( I had hoped I was only going to be swapping out a head gasket) So the main crank and the timing chain have been immobile this whole time. Obviously the valve positioning has been altered since I have a new head. BUT it occurs to me that since the camshaft has a knockpin that fits into the only whole on the cam sprocket, will not the valvetrain return to it's original position once I align the marks I made on the cam sprocket and the timing chain? If so this would save me a LOT of labor since I would not need to remove the timing belt cover to re-establish the correct timing. Am I correct?

What to do about a nasty boarder?

So I've had my horses at the same farm for about 1 1/2 years. I've always gotten along with everyone, but recently one of the boarders has gotten very nasty toward me. She put her horse out with mine without asking anyone and so I told her to please ask me before doing so next time. She totally went off on me, and when I tried to tell her I wasn't trying to be nasty, she just kept on and on. That I can deal with....Last saturday someone let my horses out of their pasture sometime during the night. I have a chain and a clip that goes around the gate, so there's really no way they could have opened it. The owner of the farm never actually opens the gate when she takes care of them, she just goes through the boards. I wasn't even out to see my horses that day, so it wasn't me either. The next morning to owner found that my horses had been out around her house, and she found them in the barn. She ended up putting a lock on the gate just to be sure that it didn't happen again. 2 days later, when I came out my horses her in the adjoining pasture with the gate open. I know the gate joining the two was closed because they have never been in that pasture before, and it must not have been opened when the horses in the pasture were brought in because the owners did not see my horses out there. The barn owner is going to put a lock on that pasture as well, but is there anything I can really do to catch the person doing this? Would getting the police involved be worth the trouble?

What size squares would you make for a twin-sized rag quilt?++?

I am no good with math..I made a rag quilt a couple summers ago using nine inch blocks but with seam allowances and i don't know somehow it was too small. I want to make another one this summer and make sure to get the size right. The quilt should be 90" by 60" I think. Peugeot 306 ignition problem?

Hi all. Last night the key in my 306 got stuck in the ignition and would neither turn or pull out. After a little persuasion i finally managed to get the key out and start the engine with a screwdriver. The engine ran fine for a few minutes until the dash lights went dim and the engine stalled followed by a burning smell and a little smoke from under the bonnet. Could also hear a relay clicking before the engine stalled? Anyone know what damage i might have caused? cheers

Yeah, definitely no glitter if you plan on going to a show. Also, check to make sure the show/discipline you ride even allows quarter marks. Your best bet is to keep it small, simple, and subtle because quarter marks are not in style any more and you don't want to attract to much attention with them. It would be a shame if something as trivial as quarter marks cost you and your horse a ribbon.

Problem with textures in portal 2?

When I play the game, certain things in-game such as buttons and vines show up as a purple and black checker pattern. I've looked up how to fix this, and it says to verify the game cache. I tried to do that but it wasn't doing anything. It just said 0% complete, and I left it on for a good amount of time. The only thing running at the time was steam. Is there any way to fix either of these problems?

Razor E3005 Electric Scooter ?

I have a Razor E3005Electric Scooter, and when I go to ride it the drive wheel wont spin, and the chain is not engaging. When I turn the scooter on its side or upside down, the chain is now engaged and the wheel spins at full speed. It seems to me that when pressure or resistance is added to the scooters drive wheel the chain stops engaging even though the motor is still working when the throtle is used. My best guess to the problem is that the sprockets are loose. How should I Tighten them? Also, if this is not my problem what is, and how should I fix it? Thank you

My 2007 chevy cobalt ss is having trouble starting?

I HATE druggies and my boyfriend was like that too, he didn't even drink alcohol but he's changed. First he got really majorly depressed about the past and his parents and childhood and how he never got to live a normal life and seriously attempted suicide but luckily his friends found out and called 911 and they managed to save him. Then the doctors put him on antidepressants but he stopped taking them and said they don't work and he's been taking Oxycontin, the really strong painkiller to "numb" himself. At first I didn't say anything because I felt bad for him and he only did it once or twice a week. But now he's been taking 2 pills a DAY and chain smokes cigarettes. He doesn't have any feelings or emotions when he's on the drug he just stares at the sky and he says that's how he likes to feel, they take away his pain and help him escape reality. Maybe that's true but chain smoking and daily opioid painkillers at only 19 shorten your life by like 20-40 years. I just want him to be happy and healthy. What should I do? :'(

I need an alternative to wrapping my hair at night?

I am african american and I have pretty thick/long (past shoulders) hair that tends to look like hell in the mornings if I don't wrap it, however I am spending the night away from home and would rather not wrap my hair / use a bonnet / any of that for this occasion because its really embarrassing and I hate the way I look in it and yea no. So I've tried french braids, regular braids, and twisting my hair all which leave the ends frayed / fuzzy / poofy and wrinkly in the morning. I was speaking in perfect German one time and I said "Wo ist Stephen?" The people I was talking to was aware of my German speaking habits but only spoke English unfortunately and they confused "wo" which means "where" in German to "who." Also I find it funny that it will red underline wo as it mistakes it for a misspelling of who. So the girl replied, "He's a white boy who talks funny and loves to wear shorts." I never found out his location. I marched on home. Maybe I should've spoken in English because "Wer ist Stephen" would've been incorrect but confused for "Where is Stephen?" I find it hilarious that the spell checker confuses the German word "wer" for a misspelling of the English "where." Also is this another example of what someone means about believing you recognize words and parts? Like let's say Fabrik from German and you believe it means fabric but it actually means factory when the actual word for fabric "Leinwand" was hiding someplace else within the language? So if someone was speaking Swedish or Danish to me and I thought a word sounded like German and I replied with the wrong answer because of misinterpretation because of knowledge in German, would they get mad?

Should the mechanic repair my car for free if the job was not done properly?

I recently took my Astra to have to head Gasket done. It was at the garage for 2 days. when i got it back it was still losing lots of oil (burning it..not leaking) I took it back and the mechanic said it was something that happens after the head gasket has been repaired and it was nothing to worry about. so i drove it and kept topping it up for a couple of days.. then a couple of days ago when i went to start it, it wouldn't turn over at all. I think that the head gasket in my car has gone/is going...One night on the way home from work I noticed a really high pitched noise, so I pulled into the supermarket car park and popped the bonnet open. Who is liable when my builder did some minor damage to my neighbour's car?

My builder (A friend) was using a grinder, and some sparks went onto my neighbour's bonnet and has caused a couple of sort of holes in the paint work. shy guys...tough haha, but he probably just isn't used to texting people first. Some people, guys and girls, never text first. It seems like he might like you, but I'm not completely sure. My grandfather was schizo affective and had bipolar from what my mother says. And I was just wondering that since I was diagnosed with bipolar and show signs of a psychotic disorder does that make be schizo affective? Next to your battery theres a relay box, theres 2 relays in there that are bigger than the rest, the one on the right is the relay for your fan, before you touch that, unplug the electric fan and put a direct feed to it to make sure it works, the fan is made by valeo and are prone for burning out, if it works then you need to look and test the relay

Clutch pedal does not come back up and having trouble putting car into gear on a fiat stile, 2004?

Yesterday, whilst driving, my clutch pedal was staying down once used and I was having to pull it back up with my foot. I have tried it again today and the pedal is all the way to the car floor and I cannot put it into gear whilst the engine is running. My other half looked under the bonnet and thinks that there is a leak somewhere as we can see wet patches. Neither of us know anything about cars and was just wondering what the problem could be and how costly!? Many thanks.

Which Business major should I choose, Management or Human Resources?

I am going to major in business administration at Community College and then I am going to transfer to a senior university to finish my bachelor's degree. They have a few different options but I do not know which one to go into. I am not sure exactly what kind of career that I want but I know that I would probably be happier in the business field than anything else. They offer these majors in the business field: accounting,acquisition and contract management,enterprise systems management(ESM)human resource management,logistics and supply chain management,mangement,management of technology. I was looking at either Management or Human Resources but I do not know which one. I have looked at salaries but I can't find out which one of these would get me the highest paying job. I want to know which classes that I should take in my first two years of school so that I am ready. The associate's degree looks like it will be pretty easy compared to the bachelor level degree but I want to make sure that I can get through the bachelor degree program. If anyone has any experience or knowledge concerning this then please let me know something. From what I have seen when I search salary information, having a bachelor's degree in business should get me a job making at least $30,000 a year but I want to make as much as I can. I am not worried about a master's degree right now but I am focused on getting the bachelor's.

Fill the radiator itself to overflowing with 50/50% antifreeze coolant and put the radiator cap back on. Fill the reservoir to the cold fill line marking and put the cap back on. However, you need a radiator coolant drain and refill if you haven't done that in the last 3 years, so consider having it done at a repair shop.

Since I was born all I've had is trouble from these people who live up my street , for some reason I don't know why they hate me and my family :s , the youngest daughter is 16 (my age) the oldest in her 20's and the mother is in her 40's but the landlord who I'm supposed to complain to about them is their grandmother :s she owns the house they've moved into they used to live 5 doors up from me but now they live 5 doors up from me but in the house opposite their old one :/ the mother terrorises my mother and father , we've been threatened had property damage (severe) and vandalism and the daughter physically attacked me in the street last week causing injuries and some sychological trauma :/ we've been to the police and the daughter has 5 ASBO's (anti social behavour orders) but she doesn't follow them she's been to court twice and recently because of the attack and damage to my dads car (the daughters mother ripped both of the wing mirrors off with a screw driver then started hammering the bonnet of the car with the same screwdriver) she went to court but after 16 years of terrorism and harrasment the daughter was sentenced to 4 weeks in a detention centre and she has to pay a fine of �50 :/ in my view that means **** all (sorry for language) I'm really angry about this and I just want a peaceful life but right now it makes me nervous to even think about leaving my front door in case I get attacked again :/ her mother didn't get any punishments and they're both back on the streets (they have a house , the one im trying to get them moved from and moved somewhere else) but they spend most nights out getting drunk and causing trouble (mainly to me) :/ any ideas on how I can get them evicted without talking to the landlady?
