When making an Easter bonnet do you have to decorate the top with real fruit?

I prefer to decorate it with chocolate bunnies. The most fun part is they turn into chocolate puddles if it is sunny and warm, so you can find someone who decorated with real fruit, steal a strawberry to dip into your chocolate bunny puddle and eat it.
